14 Josef sa til dem: "Det er som jeg advarte: dere er spioner!
15 Slik skal dere bli testet: ved faraos liv, dere skal ikke forlate dette stedet med mindre deres yngste bror kommer hit.
Send en av dere for å hente broren deres; resten av dere skal forbli fengslet, så ordene deres kan testes for å se om dere snakker sant. Ellers, ved faraos liv, er dere spioner!"
17 Og han lot dem alle holdes i varetekt i tre dager.
18 På den tredje dagen talte Josef til dem og sa: "Gjør dette, så skal dere leve, for jeg har ærefrykt for Gud:
