27 Dette er slektshistorien til Tarah. Tarah fikk sønnene Abram, Nakor og Haran, og Haran fikk sønnen Lot.
28 Haran døde i sin far Tarahs levetid i landet der han ble født, i Ur i Kaldea.
Abram og Nakor tok seg koner. Abrams kone het Sarai, og Nakors kone het Milka, datter av Haran, far til både Milka og Jiska.
30 Sarai kunne ikke få barn; hun hadde ingen barn.
31 Tarah tok sin sønn Abram, sitt barnebarn Lot, sønn av Haran, og sin svigerdatter Sarai, Abrams kone, og de dro ut fra Ur i Kaldea for å dra til landet Kanaan. Men da de kom til Haran, slo de seg ned der.
