21 Da jeg så blant byttet en vakker kappe fra Sinear, to hundre sekel sølv og en gullbarre som veide femti sekel, begjærte jeg dem og tok dem. De er skjult i jorden inne i teltet mitt, med sølvet under.”
22 Josva sendte da sine budbringere, de skyndte seg til hans telt; og der fant de tingene, skjult i teltet, med sølvet under.
De tok tingene fra teltet, brakte dem til Josva og alle israelittene, og la dem ut foran Herren.
24 Så tok Josva, sammen med hele Israel, Akan, sønn av Serah, sølvet, kappen, gullbarren, hans sønner og døtre, hans kveg, esler, sauer, hans telt, og alt han hadde, til Akors dal.
25 Josva sa: “Hvorfor har du brakt ulykke over oss? Herren vil bringe ulykke over deg i dag.” Så steinet hele Israel ham, og etter at de hadde steinet resten, brente de dem med ild.
