Esekiel 48,16

14 "De skal ikke selge eller bytte bort noe av det, eller la denne utvalgte delen av landet gå over i andre hender; for det er hellig for Herren.

15 "Det gjenværende området, fem tusen alen bredt og tjuefem tusen alen langt, skal være til allmenn bruk for byen, for hus og for beitemark; byen skal være i midten av det.

"Dette skal være dens mål: nordsiden, fire tusen fem hundre alen; sørsiden, fire tusen fem hundre alen; østsiden, fire tusen fem hundre alen; og vestsiden, fire tusen fem hundre alen.

17 "Byen skal ha åpne områder: i nord, to hundre og femti alen; i sør, to hundre og femti alen; i øst, to hundre og femti alen; og i vest, to hundre og femti alen.

18 "Resten av lengden ved siden av det hellige området skal være ti tusen alen mot øst og ti tusen mot vest; dens avling skal gi mat til byens arbeidere.
