8 Alle folket reiste seg som én og sa: "Ingen av oss vil vende tilbake til våre telt eller hjem.
9 Dette er hva vi vil gjøre med Gibea: Vi vil kaste lodd for å bestemme hvordan vi angriper det.
Vi vil ta ti menn ut av hver hundre fra alle Israels stammer, og hundre ut av tusen, og tusen ut av ti tusen, for å skaffe forsyninger til hæren. Når hæren kommer til Gibea i Benjamin, vil de straffe dem for den avskyelige handlingen som ble begått i Israel."
11 Så alle Israels menn forenet seg som én mot byen.
12 Israels stammer sendte budbringere gjennom hele Benjamins stamme og sa: "Hva er denne ugjerningen som har skjedd blant dere?
