1 Herren talte til Moses og Aron og sa:
"Foreta en folketelling av Kehatittenes gren av levittene, etter deres familier og deres fedres hus.
3 Tell alle menn fra tretti til femti år gamle som er kvalifisert til å tjene i arbeidet ved sammenkomstens telt.
4 Dette er Kehatittenes plikt i sammenkomstens telt: omsorgen for de helligste tingene.
