1 David samlet igjen alle de utvalgte mennene i Israel, tretti tusen.

2 Og David sto opp og dro med alt folket som var med ham til Baale-Juda, for å hente opp derfra Guds ark, som er kalt ved Navnet, navnet til hærskarenes Herre, som troner over kjerubene.

Og de satte Guds ark på en ny vogn, og førte den fra Abinadabs hus, som var på høyden; og Ussa og Ahjo, Abinadabs sønner, ledet den nye vognen.

4 Slik transporterte de Guds ark fra Abinadabs hus, som var på høyden, med Ahjo som gikk foran arken.

5 Samtidig feiret David og hele Israels hus foran Herren med forskjellige instrumenter laget av einer, sammen med lyrer, harper, tamburiner, bjeller og cymbaler.
