4 Så sa kongen til Siba, "Se, alt som tilhørte Mefibosjet er nå ditt." Og Siba sa, "Jeg bøyer meg for deg; må jeg finne nåde i dine øyne, min herre kongen."
5 Da kong David kom til Bahurim, se, en mann kom ut derfra fra Sauls hus, som hette Sjimi, sønn av Gera; han kom ut og forbannet kontinuerlig mens han kom.
Han kastet steiner på David og på alle kong Davids tjenere, selv om alle folket og alle de mektige mennene var ved hans høyre og venstre.
7 Slik sa Sjimi da han forbannet, "Kom deg bort, kom deg bort, du blodige mann, du verdiløse mann!
8 Herren har vendt tilbake over deg alt blodet fra Sauls hus, i hvis sted du har regjert. Herren har gitt kongedømmet i din sønn Absaloms hånd. Se, du er fanget i din egen ondskap, for du er en blodig mann!"
