42 Nå kom en mann fra Baal-salisa, og brakte Guds mann brød av førstegrøden: tjue byggbrød og friske aks av korn i sekken sin. Og Elisja sa, "Gi dem til folket så de kan spise."
43 Men hans tjener sa, "Hvordan skal jeg sette dette foran hundre menn?" Likevel sa han, "Gi dem til folket så de kan spise, for dette er hva Herren sier: 'De skal spise og ha noe til overs.'"
Så satte han det foran dem, og de spiste og hadde noe til overs, i henhold til Herrens ord.
