18 Da Jared var 162 år, fikk han Enok.
19 Etter Enok ble født, levde Jared i 800 år og fikk andre sønner og døtre.
Så alle de dager Jared levde var 962 år, og så døde han.
21 Da Enok var 65 år, fikk han Metusjalah.
22 Etter at han ble far til Metusjalah, vandret Enok nært med Gud i 300 år og fikk andre sønner og døtre.
